Bruce’s commercial real estate experience includes asset management,
commercial & investment banking, contract negotiation, real estate
loan workouts, investment sales brokerage, offshore syndications, and
consulting. At Arcis Investments, Bruce has primary responsibility for
the overall operations of the organization with a focus on new acquisition
opportunities, as well as the asset management of the company’s
portfolio.
Prior
to joining Arcis, Bruce was Managing Director for Euro American Advisors
(EAA), a diversified Netherlands-based real estate investment company
investing Dutch and German funds in U.S. real estate located throughout
the southeast. Euro American’s U.S. operations were headquartered
in Tampa, Florida, where he started with the company in 1997. Bruce
was instrumental in structurally organizing this operation and putting
in place the proper systems and growth strategies to expand the portfolio
to a value of $300 Million.
At
Euro American, he had overall responsibility for the U.S. operations
and coordinated all aspects of asset management, property management,
leasing and disposition, as well as the ongoing strategic decisions
regarding the U.S. portfolio. In addition, his diverse real estate background
provided valuable insight during the acquisition and development process.
Prior
to joining Euro American, he was Vice President at Citicorp Real Estate
where his primary responsibility was managing a $300 million OREO portfolio
located throughout the Southeast and the Midwest. Bruce was instrumental
in mitigating Citicorp’s losses on this multi-faceted portfolio
(including office, industrial, retail and multi-family) through his
aggressive hands-on asset management style. Citicorp transferred him
to Tampa from New York City where he was a Loan Workout Specialist,
successfully working out a $260 million non-performing portfolio of
loans. Bruce joined Citicorp from Jones Lang Wootton where he was on
the Acquisition, Sales and Finance team for this global real estate
advisory firm.
Bruce
began his career at Chemical Bank where he completed the bank’s
twelve-month credit training program to become an Account Officer.
He earned his MBA in real estate finance from Columbia Business School
in New York City, and received his BS from Skidmore College in Saratoga
Springs, NY, where he graduated with distinctive honors. Bruce is
a member of the Urban Land Institute, International Council of Shopping
Centers, National Multi-Housing Council, Omicron Delta Epsilon (the
National Economic Honor Society), Rotary International, and various
local civic organizations.
